Jagat Gosain page
[edit]I apologise for any inconvenience beforehand. The page Jagat Gosain along with other Rajput wives of Mughals seems to be constantly changed to Beniwal community. I request can you please put a semi-protection request for the page. I am personally having hard time understanding the exact rules for it.

- @Manavati: If an article has a number of recent bad-edit reverts, a wp:RFPP should be easily accomplished. I think Jagat Gosain would easily qualify. Just go to WP:RPPI, click "Request protection" add "Jagat Gosain" to the "Page title" box, and something like "repeated unexplained removal of sourced content and page blanking." There is a preview you can view. I think you will need to do it for each page.
- There are a few guides at the top of the blue box titled Welcome—request protection of a page, file, or template here. One is WP:Rough guide to semi-protection and, usually for edit warring between more established editors wp:Rough guide to extended confirmed protection Semi-protection should be enough (for now) given they are IP editors. The article would probably be semi-protected for a week. When it starts to happen again, you can re-request protection and the protection time will likely be lengthened. Just click here WP:RPPI.

Newport

Thank you for notifying me about my recent removal in the Newport, Isle of Wight article. The edit which was made using WP:UV didn’t specifically mention the reason why I reverted their change, so I understand your reversion; however, I noticed that you reverted this edit citing "unexplained removal," whereas the IP user clearly stated that the content was irrelevant to Newport and only discussed the purchase of a lordship. - @Daniel Plumber: Thank you for your message. That content was likely placed by a COI? I did not consider the anon's explanation a valid reason as the reason why a purchase of a lordship being irrelevant was not clear. As an RCP, I often see strange explanations given for whitewashings (3). The content was there since March 20, about four months, so while it was added by an anon, it didn't appear out of place to others. I'm not familiar with Scottish nobility...
- BTW: Scottish Lord redirects to The Scottish Play. Shouldn't it redirect to Lords in the Baronage of Scotland? Cheers Adakiko (talk) 18:38, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
